      What is Quran?

      The Qur’an is an Islamic Holy Book, and the Qur’an is also called the word of Allah which was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

      How Many Surah’s are there in Quran?

      The Qur’an consists of 114 units known as Surah. The first Surah which is “Al Fatiha” is said as part of the ritual prayer.

      Qur’an is also spelled Koran and Qur’an, it is the sacred scripture of Islam. According to Islamic scholars, the Holy Quran was started by the Angel Gabriel A.S(Jibrail).

      The Holy Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) did not write the Holy Qur’an himself, because Muhammad(peace be upon him) did not know how to read or write.

      The Holy Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) colleagues recorded the revelation and did the writing.

      After the death of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the companions began to compile the Qur’an.

      And he had begun to gather all that was written and all that was memorized.

      Hazrat Usman (R.A) was established a standard version of the Holy Qur’an, in today’s which is generally considered the archetype of the Holy Qur’an. There are, variant reading, with mostly minor differences in meaning.

      “And this is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings and confirming (the revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book), and they are constant in guarding their prayers.”

      (al-Anam, 6/92)

      “The Quran is guidance and glad tidings for those who believe.”

      (al-Baqara, 2/97).

      The Revelation of the Quran:

      The word Qur’an means recitation and its verses are read and learn by All over the Muslim people throughout the world.

      The Qur’an was revealed in the month of Holy Ramadan on 610C.E and ended with the last Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

      Who is the Writer/Owner of Quran?

      The Qur’an is the text of Allah, which is penned in the Arabic Language. In the Arabic Language, the Qur’an meaning is Recitation. Muslims all over the world consider the Qur’an as a holy book and recite it.

      The Quran confirms this fact, and Allah Almighty says in Qur’an;

      “Allah is Witness between me and you: this Qur’an hath been revealed to me by inspiration That I may warn you and all whom it reaches.”

      (Surah Al-Anam, verse 1).

      The Allah Almighty describes the Holy Qur’an as a revelation;

      “It is but a revelation revealed.”

      (Surah Al-Najm, verse 4).

      “Say: “I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord.”

      (Surah Al-Araf, verse 203).

      Five times a day, Muslims do prayer rituals called Salah (Namaz), at Dawn (Al-Fajr), Midday (Al-Zuhar), Afternoon (Al-Asr), Sunset (Al-Maghrib), Evening (Al-Isha). All Muslims also follow Holy Qur’an as a guide to do their worship services. So that they may succeed in life.

      Allah’s Sayings About Holy Quran:

      Allah Almighty has said many times in the Holy Qur’an 

      “ It is the Book of Guidance.”

      For example, Allah Pak says in Holy Qur’an in Surah Al-Baqarah;

      “This is the Book about which there is no doubt, guidance for those conscious of Allah.”

      (Verse 2:2)

      Allah Pak says in Surah Al-Younas;

      “And it was not [possible] for this Qur’an to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.”      


      Allah Almighty also told the Muslim Peoples sternly that if you do not follow the Holy Qur’anic guidance then you will be responsible for the loss. At another place Allah Pak says;

      “Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided – it is for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray to its detriment. And you are not a manager over them”.

      (verse 39:41)

      All the above verses point to the fact that the Qur’an Pak is the most important and complete book from which all aspects of life can be decided and follow the rules and regulations. 

      We should take help from the Holy Qur’an in our daily life routine so that there are would be no chance of committing any wrong deal. We do not have to regret it later.
